My name is Draven, and in creating Starflower Coffee, my goal has been to build a business rooted in fairness and care for customers, future employees, and every person I work with.
While working in the industry, I have noticed a common sentiment:
It runs off exploiting the passion and love of its workers
I have experienced these difficulties & issues myself, which drove me to create a business that holds care as a core value.
I’ve worked in coffee and food service since 2013. From pouring cups at ’50s-style diners and making lattes on rundown espresso machines to honing my craft in spaces dedicated to coffee science, I've had a journey with coffee involving interest, passion, burnout, and, ultimately, a rekindling of my initial love.
I've made lifetime friends, memories, and have had the opportunity to nurture this craft that I hold dear. The relationships I’ve built have shaped me into my best self, and I hope to create pathways for coffee workers, customers, and communities to experience that same sense of growth and connection.
My dream is to create a space that curates love, kindness, comfort, and coffee crafted by passionate people. I hope you'll join me on my journey ♥
